Eventageous PR - Privacy Policy
From the 25 May 2018, new regulations regarding personal data protection (GDPR) comes in to place and we are aware of the responsibility required in looking after the personal data that we hold, both for Journalists and Clients.
Under GDPR there are several grounds on which it is permissible to process personal data, the key cornerstones of which are consent, where that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract along with when the processing is in the legitimate interests of the data controller (provided that there is no unwarranted adverse effect on the rights of the individual). Legitimate interests include legitimate commercial interests. We subscribe to both Newspress and PRmax who control the data and personal data in the media databases.
The journalist data maintained is in the public domain and the information is obtained with permission of the Journalist or their organisation on their behalf. We understand it to be in our legitimate interest to process that information in the responsible manner we do, and to provide that information to our customers. In line with requirements under GDPR, we are putting in place additional safeguards such as unsubscribe and permission tracking audit trails to protect the rights of our journalists and ensure compliance with GDPR as it comes into effect.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at rebecca@eventspr.co.uk and you will be removed immediately and will not receive any further correspondence.
